Working draft — this document states how the service is intended to be used and will be reviewed by counsel before general availability.

1. What WellsMap is

WellsMap USA (operated by Field Elevate Management LLC) publishes statistics derived from public well construction records and researched summaries of well permitting requirements, and provides workflow tools for licensed drilling contractors and their customers.

2. Estimates are statistics, not surveys

Depth, yield and cost figures are statistical summaries of nearby public records. They are not a geological survey, an engineering opinion, or a promise about any specific parcel. Drilling outcomes vary; budget to the band, not the midpoint.

3. Permit information is research, not legal advice

Permit pages summarize statutes, rules and agency practice as verified on the date shown. Rules change, and agencies' own interpretations control. WellsMap does not issue permits and never submits applications to a government system itself — the licensed contractor, or the owner where the law designates the owner, is always the submitter of record. Nothing on this site is legal advice.

4. Public records

Well construction records are public documents published by state agencies. WellsMap indexes and aggregates them. If a record on this site identifies you and you believe it should be corrected at the source, contact the issuing agency; if our copy misstates the public record, contact us and we will fix it.

5. Acceptable use

Don't misrepresent WellsMap outputs as government documents; don't use the service to file paperwork you are not lawfully entitled to file; don't scrape at volumes that degrade the service.

6. No warranty

The service is provided as-is. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Field Elevate Management LLC disclaims all warranties and is not liable for decisions made in reliance on statistical estimates or permit summaries.
